In Retrospect

Good morning, all. Another poem to think about.

When I was a little girl
And had to go to the field
To try my hand at a hoe
One of the things that I
Learned to do was to take
A look back down my row
To see the kind of job I was leaving
Behind me because that is what
The "boss" would judge me by
Well, we are all chopping a row
That will be, one day, judged
By that Boss in the sky.

It pays to look back over your life now and again to see the job that you are doing.

Doing What I Can, While I Can,
