Being a Mother

Hello and I hope every mother in this world had a blessed day on Sunday. Hope your day was wonderful in that you got to put your arms around the child that you carried under and/or in your heart.  But let's take a stroll back down memory lane, in other words, let's reminisce.

  • Remember when you forced yourself to have quality time for them  when they were two? Well now, they are grown and gone and you  live for the days when they spend quality time with you.
  • Remember when you rushed home to be sure that your children were well fed?
  • Remember how you fussed at them if they went to school without making their bed?
  • Remember how they used to hang on your skirt and be right under your feet?
  • And now they live out in the world where other mothers' children dwell...
  • Oh when we hear the sound of those not so little feet
  • Our hearts thump and with pride, swell
  • To once again have that precious baby right by our side
  • Bringing  a joy to our face that we couldn't
  • Hide, even if we tried.
So young mothers take some time and rear your children with care
For the day will come when you will treasure the memories that you've built there.

From one mother's heart to yours,
Doing What I Can, While I Can
