Out of My Storms

Good morning. I wanted to share with you some of the happenings from the book signing on yesterday.
I want you to know that out of my storms came forth a book that gives and keeps on giving. Two cases in point:

  1. Yesterday, at the book signing at Webb High School in McKenzie, the Lord delivered a care package. He had two ladies at two different times to come up to my table and exclaim over my book, Chopping My Row. One woman walked in, looked at my table and exclaimed with her mouth agape, "There's that book!  Then she grabbed one off of my table and hugged it to her bosom. I was almost floored by her reaction to the book. Yes, she bought a copy.
  2. Then another lady came in and walked up to my table and looked puzzled and said, "Now where have I heard the name of this book?" She picked the book up and was reading the back cover and then raised her head with a concentrating frown on her face and said, "Now where did I hear about this book or see it?" Then she said, "I know! It was at church. A lady came in and had a copy. Well, I got mine, today." And she bought a copy.

The Bible says that "Those whom the Lord loves, He chastises." It also says that "While no chastisement for the moment is enjoyable, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness." (Hebrews 12:3-11 KJV) I took the scripture above and paraphrased it, but the meaning is the same. The Lord took the storms that I had gone through in my life and had me to produce, Chopping My Row. There is no way that I could have come up with a book such as this one if I had not spent some time in what I like to call, "God's Training Camp." I like to think that the Lord humbled me and when I was ready and pliable, sent me a care package to show me that He loves me and to remind me to hang on to my faith because He always has a plan for me.
I sold several copies of Chopping My Row yesterday, and I am grateful to the God of Glory for His blessings. Umph, umph, umph, out of a storm, born...

I told you this several years back, and I will say it again, "If you hold on through your storm(s), blessings will flow during and from it/them."
