Never Did

Never did allow folk to stop me

From what I was driven to do

No matter what they did to me 

And no matter what they put me through.

I kept working toward the goal

That was placed within my dream

And I kept going no matter how

Impossible the reaching of the goal 

And of the dream to me might seem.

When I reached certain milestones

Knew I didn't reach them by my efforts alone

I was propelled by a force that, even I 

At the time, didn't understand

I was pushed by God's loving hand

According to His purpose and plan.

So, young-folks, when you step out 

On this new journey of yours

Do not depend upon the things that

You think you know

Just remember to take the Lord with you 

Everywhere you go.

Good morning. Whipping up some poems for my little talk with the young ladies on Saturday. Yes, I am getting a bit nervous, but I always do. You be well and be sure to begin your day with prayer. I am going to get back to studying. Thank you, as always, for your encouragement in my writing.
