Love Rides the Currents

I did a double blog post on yesterday because I felt a pressing need to address the citizens of Texas and the rest of the country.

In the swirling waters of the flood

Flowed sediment of different kinds

But what remains uppermost in my mind

Are the selfless acts of love

From one person to another

Creatures all of the same blood.

First responders working tirelessly

Until they fall asleep in their tracks

And the rest of the country donating supplies

And performing other caring acts.

Love rides the currents in Texas, y'all

For what affects one, affects us all.
