She Will Be Missed

Ann Halliburton

The passing of some souls, whether fleshly family or not
Shakes the earth under our feet and rattles our bones
Such was the passing of one, Ann Halliburton, our friend, gone.

You see, there are some people who are so full of life
That to be around them is to be energized
My sister in Christ and my friend Ann Halliburton
Was a spirit of such like and her leaving
Has left a hole and will have her church family grieving
For quite some time to come, for
How do you not miss a vibrant soul such as she was
When you are confronted with their leaving?
Yet, we will continue with our work and persevere
Though the longing at times will be severe.

Every sphere of her life where she held a place
Will miss that exuberant vitality that she had
But, though we will miss her and we will be sad
We will continue on with our time side race.

To her family, CJ, Kayla, Daphne, her siblings and all the rest
Just know that when our Lord took Ann home
He took one of our best.

Some people reached 2017 ONLY to begin
Their walk upon the other shore.
RIP - Ann Halliburton, for you walk with us no more
But when we get there, we won't be surprised to find
That you have been made one of the greeters at heaven's door.

Hello, all. We lost a good friend on yesterday so I did this poem in her memory.

Doing What I Can, While I Can,
