Hiatus

Hello. all! I took a brief hiatus and am glad to be back with you. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Day if that is done in your country. It is always a time of eating, family get-togethers, sharing, and reminiscing. However, I have been busy during my hiatus and below are a couple of poems as a result of my efforts.

 When I Think about Life

When I think about life
And the places that I've seen
When I think about life
And the situations that I've been in
When I think about life
And the enemies that have been so mean
When I think about life
I think...
Thankful
For Jesus
Who blesses and
Controls the fate of men.

Special Friendship

Listen, my friend
Let the occurrences of yesterday
Be just that and try to mend
That broken friendship you once cherished
For tomorrow may come and you find
The last strand of the special friendship's delicate
Bond has, at long last, perished
Because the cord of life has been severed
And you, my friend, have been left with only
An empty hate, to keep, that you long endeavored.
