Tears of Gratitude

Good morning everyone! You know, I am living proof to myself that it is true what the Holy Writ says about the training of a child.  Now, I was taught the "magic" of prayer when I was a little girl. (That was the way that I saw it in my 7-year-old mind at the time.)  I started praying back  then and have been praying ever since.  What I didn't learn back then and only recently learned was that there would be times in my life that I would pray and shed tears of gratitude in praise. Now don't get me wrong, all of us, me included, have shed tears of gratitude in the immediate relief of the cessation of cataclysmic moments of destruction or near destruction. What I only very recently learned was that in moments of intense, introspective praise, when you approach the Master's throne, you will have gentle tears of gratitude and joy squeeze from between your lids and cascade down your cheeks as you commune with the Lord. Moments when you display yourself in all of your vulnerability while acknowledging His supremacy and power and His beneficent intervention in your life.    There have been times like that in my life, great and small and I thought that I would share  my perspective on tears of gratitude and praise with you. Hope you enjoy and that the following poem touches your soul with remembrances of  His infinite, caring love.

Tears of Gratitude

I am not the first and I won't be the last
But I just wanted to add my praise and
My gratitude to the trumpet's touting blast.

"When you get an answer, don't forget to say, "Thank You"!
When you get an answer, don't forget to praise.
As your arms and your voice to the throne
Of Jesus of Calvary you raise."

Doing What I Can, While I Can
Alma Jones

Aside - Been praying hard, been praying long? When you get that affirmative answer, your voice about His goodness, you raise.
