Peace be unto you this day! Praise the LORD!
People! People! People! (smile)
Yesterday, my storm lightened considerably and I could see the rainbow peeping through the cloud. My day began and ended in the same joyous way! My GOD is awesome and I want to give HIM praise! (More at end of today's post)
We have been talking the last couple of days about finding the blessing in your storm, right? Well, the reason we were doing that is so that we wouldn't become disheartened during the battering that the storm was putting on us. We were learning to occupy ourselves during the storm because we didn't know how long it was going to last. When I was a little girl, my mother would make us sit down during a storm and play quiet games. I realize now, that what she was doing was teaching us to wait the storm out, so she occupied us. We do pretty much the same thing today, when we prayerfully meditate on our storm(s) while waiting for it/them to cease. We always need to remember what HE said in Psalms 46, "Be still and know that I am GOD."
But if you stay in a storm for a long enough while, it starts to become your "normal." You get accustomed to the battering that you receive from whatever source and you take it in stride as much as is possible. But you know, even-when you get hardened to that particular storm, it seems the adversary always hits you with one better. You might find yourself reeling and might find that your resolve has begun to falter. Here is where the words of one of my favorite songs comes into play. Now get this; just when you had given up and practically thrown your hands up in the air because your confidence just was not there; just when the enemy has been trying to convince you that you cannot stand, the LORD comes through and takes your hand. You begin to see the sun peeking through the clouds and your "One More Sunny Day" begins once more. You start to think about those simple joys that you used to know and as I told you on yesterday, your step begins to get a little lighter.
So, when your storm is over or just about over and it is not hard for you to smile, use that time to uplift somebody else. If the LORD has brought you out of your storm, then you ought to, "Brag on GOD" (Power for Today, July, 2012). Give somebody else hope through your telling of your story. Help somebody to see that GOD is still in the delivering and prayer answering business and that HE is faithful as HE said HE would be in 2 Tim. 2:13.
The beginning of the cessation of my storm:
1. Received two very positive book reviews on my poetry books, AVIA and DEI Sub Numine Viget on LinkedIn today! My poetry was, in fact, called "awesome!"
2. Received notice that shelf space has already been allotted at my local bookstore for my upcoming inspirational volume, W.O.W. Created w.o.w.! and for the proposed like-named inspirational calendar!
3. Have had to order more of the little desk calendar that I put together due to popular demand!
4. Work has begun on the new website for my latest book, A Suspenseful Paranormal Event which is available now from BookWhirl.com
5. My poetry was featured on an international blog this week!
6. There have been other break-throughs of a more personal nature this week, as well. Just understand me when I say that: The storm is passing over and I can feel the peace down in my soul!
Stay prayed up and keep looking!
