The Wash

Good morning.  Maybe you didn't hear me. I said, "Good morning!"  Now, that's better!  Oh, you haven't had your coffee?  That's okay; grab a cup when you can.  In the meantime, determine that you are going to rise out of the morning blahs and have a good day anyway!  (Ha! That will give them something to ponder over and to try to figure out.)

My, my, my! It's the autumn season and I always get just a tad excited about it. It heralds the approach of winter, bringing a myriad of color in the process.  Ahh, the joy of drawing crisp breaths of life and of just being!  Wow! I am feeling exuberant this morning!  This is a new day that we have been allowed to see and I am glad about it!  You too? Good!

Having taken care of the morning niceties, let's get to the business at hand.  This is the 2nd day of a new month!  Where have the months gone?  It seems that the days have fairly flown. You know?  At any rate, time marches on... Since this is another month, it is time for, another round of  News, Notes, Quips and Quotes.

Quip
If the LORD is for you, no matter what adverse situation you may find yourself in, you will always do like cream and rise to the top.

Note
What makes the cream rise to the top, the churning. This can be likened to events in life.  Let me explain. Those situations in life that turn your world upside down and turn you all about, may be your ticket to the top.  Think about it. Here's an example, and I go to that good old historical book, the Bible. Don't you know that when Joseph was thrown into a pit by his brothers because of pure jealousy, that it didn't feel good down in that pit? (Jealousy, by the way, will make folk want to kill you, but that is a topic for, perhaps, another day.) And don't you know that when he was snatched from the bosom of his daddy to be sold down in Egypt, that it didn't feel good? He landed in a noble's house down there, but trouble was not finished with him yet. He was sent to prison because of an untruth because he would not "play ball" with his master's wife.  Here again, this did not make Joseph feel good. But even in prison, Joseph still had that cream quality. He rose to the top.  You know the rest of the story so I will not trouble you with the details.  The point that I am trying to make leads me to my quote for this month, which is:

          Quote
"Keep your chin up for it all comes out in the wash."

Questions for pondering: (If you so desire)
1.  Explain how the quote for the month applies to Joseph's situation. Pay particular attention to "the wash."  Hmm-m, wonder if you could expound upon this statement to the tune of three paragraphs...
2. Can you look back over your life and see any similarities with Joseph's situation? The paragraphs in your answer to number one could help you here, if you did it that is...
3. What prominent situation in the news can these two "newsy quotes" be applied to? How?

News (Newsy Quotes)
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.
Woe to the man by whom offences come.

FYI
I am still finding my blogging voice so I come to you with various ways of expressing my views.  I hope that you bear with me until I find the voice that I am most comfortable with.

The questions, you ask? They were purely an afterthought. I thought it might be an added touch. If you feel one way or another about them, please let me know.  I will take your thoughts into consideration.

As always, until we next meet on the page of my blog...
