News, Notes, Quips and Quotes

Good morning!  Hoping you have a fulfilling and joyful time in praise on your next worship day. (Mine is today.)   Posting a day earlier and hope that is okay with you. I had something to say that did not need to wait.

Having just finished a bountiful feast with family and friends, I wanted to give special acknowledgement to the GOD of heaven for His continued loving kindness, justice and righteousness.

As I turn back to the creative side of writing once again
I am humbled and thankful for the
Creativity that has been placed within.

Being the first of a generation
     To make it to college
     The ARCHITECT of it all
     I thought I'd acknowledge!

     YOU shepherded me through childhood
     Especially my teenage years
     And allowed me to blossom
Amid all of the naysayers' taunts and jeers.

YOU let me rise to here-to-fore unscaled  heights
     While keeping my heavenly goal
     Firmly within my sights.

     YOU let little ole me
Who was deemed not good enough
     Become a successful teacher,
     Entrepreneur, writer and speaker
     All wrapped up in one
Hats off to YOU, my FATHER
     WHO carved this caring heart
     Out of the rough!

Oh No You Didn't!

QUOTES
It has been said, Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.

QUIPS
Today's quote, according to Lauten, applies to the crown wearer's children, as well.
Just sayin'! Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
These things ought not to be.

NOTES
Class is as class does, I have always heard!
To the wise, I have just given, a fitly spoken word.

NEWS
I have seen time and time again people operate under the premise that if you cannot get to the man, go after his wife.  If you cannot get to the wife, go after the defenseless children.  That will get them every time, seems to be the adversary's thought. Not so! Somebody forgot about ultimately!
...Can't figure it out? (See my blog from Nov. 21.)

To the Village and Beyond: It takes all of us.
To the Children: Just know that a litany of prayers go with you on your way!
